Nicky + Chris | Stratford, CT | Engagement

Think back.  Way back.  A liiittle bit further back.  Are you in last August yet?  Is it warm and humid and maybe a bit overcast?  Do you have a huge bug bite on your calf and sand in your pants from crawling all over the beach?  Okay, good; you’re there.

We’re time traveling today because it was all the way back in August of last year that I spent an afternoon taking engagement photos for Nicky + Chris.  We wandered down to the beach near our old house, to the very driftwood log where Chris had proposed a few months before, and we had a great time.  I’m still working on posting back sessions, and it feels appropriate that I post these now because this past Monday was actually Chris + Nicky’s wedding day (which I also had the pleasure to photograph)!  I can’t wait to reveal the details of their wedding, but of course that will come in due time.  While we wait, let’s enjoy some photos of the happy couple lovin’ it up on the beach, shall we?

And before I start: Yes, that is Nicky’s natural hair color. :)

I love this one.  It’s so cinematic:

Seriously, how luscious is this grass?!

These next two just stop my little heart each time I look at them.  Beautiful!

Their wedding was amazing for a number of reasons.  Check back soon to see and hear all about it!
