August 2010 Goals

Yet another month has zipped right on by and now we’re into my busiest 31 days of the year.  How I will cope with this remains to be seen (particularly given that I’ve needed to be talked down off the ledge a couple (dozen) times these past few weeks after working myself up into a bit of a tizzy c/o one very full plate), but I’ve got some new systems in place to help me not lose my mind.  Isn’t that comforting?  Yeah, not for me, either. :)

At any rate, here’s what I hope to accomplish this month.

August Goals (July holdovers in italics):

  • Make and order studio guestbook
  • Blog once a week (yes, this one counts)
  • Keep up with my exercise schedule (again), and get Honey on one, too!
  • Finish my friend’s overdue baby gift (the gift is overdue, not the baby!)
  • Sell some equipment! (And hopefully not have any more of my days ruined by unconscionably rude respondents to my craigslist posts.  Seriously, what is WITH some people?)
  • Read a business-related book I’ve had on my shelf for awhile, but have yet to pick up
  • Organize my paperwork (ugh)

Completed July Goals:

  • Head back to California to find and book a place to get married and a photographer (so not looking forward to this, long story)  — DONE!
  • Take a road trip (definitely looking forward to this) — Sadly, this was cancelled for reasons beyond my control. :(
  • Keep on keepin’ on with my exercising
  • Plan a getaway for Honey and myself (I’m thinking something cabiny and hikey, maybe) — A camping trip we’re quite excited about!
  • Finish and order studio album TWO of three
  • Privately journal once a week — Sometimes, perseverance is everything. :)
  • Get a full physical, or at least make an appointment (Honey wants to make sure he’s not about to marry a lemon; I want o figure out if I’m anemic again) — This has been postponed a few months whilst I work out a health insurance situation. :)
